So what is a rustic wedding? The dictionary defines the meaning of ‘Rustic’ (adjective) as – plain, simple, homely, unsophisticated, crude and as having a rough or textured appearance. I don’t know about the unsophisticated part as I think rustic weddings are very sophisticated and stunning.
‘Rustic” weddings remind me of being outdoors in spring and having baby’s breath flowers on tables in mason jars. Using long bench tables with unmatched chairs for guests to sit at and having white plates with bone handled cutlery place settings. Bunting hanging from the trees and swaying in the breeze. The bride wearing a very simple but elegant gown and a flower crown in her long flowing hair. The groom is dressed in a waist coat with no tie but impeccably groomed.
